Ben Howard

[su_column size=”1/2″]An English singer songwriter who has already seen every corner of the world, Ben Howard is as comfortable on a surf board as he is playing a guitar. Growing up in South Devon, the coast has an audible influence on his chilled, thoughtful music.

With influences like Joni Mitchell and Donovan, the folk genre has always been part of the foundation for his music making process. However, comparisons to Jack Johnson aren’t unwarranted, but perhaps more a result of a shared love of surfer culture rather than musical taste. Fans of Ben will tell you that his music means a lot to them, and that his lyrics have connected with them at one point or another. After just a few tracks you’ll probably find something to relate to aswell.

Ben Howard won two BRIT Awards in 2013 (British Breakthough Act, British Solo Male artist), as well as receiving a nomination for the Mercury Prize in 2012, but he remains grounded. Freshman Guitars are proud to be part of his collection, and to support an artist that fans appreciate so much.
